Assisted living is designed for those seniors who need more assistance to live a fulfilling life. They may still be very active, but they will usually require more structure and support. This can be with bathing and grooming, meals, managing money, socializing, shopping, and medication. Staff will usually be available 24/7 to ensure safety, and will offer support that is tailored to the individual.
It is crucial to assess which is required because if the wrong one is chosen, the person may become frustrated or not be able to manage safely.
